Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GradAisle ("we," "our," "us"), including our website, matching platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using GradAisle — whether as a guest or registered user — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you are using GradAisle on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

GradAisle is a graduate school discovery and matching platform. We help students — both domestic and international (F-1) — explore US master's programs based on their academic profile, budget, location preferences, and field of interest.

What we provide

• AI-powered program matching based on your profile and optional resume
• Program information including tuition, application deadlines, funding opportunities, and STEM OPT eligibility
• Personalized match explanations, tradeoff notes, and admission likelihood estimates
• The ability to save and compare programs across sessions

What we don't provide

Important: GradAisle is an informational tool, not an admissions service. We do not guarantee admission to any program, act as an admissions consultant, or have any affiliation with the universities listed on the platform. Program information may change — always verify details directly with the university.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with reasonable notice for material changes where possible.

Free vs. Pro tiers

GradAisle currently offers a free tier. A paid Pro tier may be introduced in the future, which will unlock additional features such as AI-powered match explanations and personalized re-ranking. The specific features available on each tier will be described at the time of any such launch.

Registration

You may use parts of GradAisle as a guest without creating an account. Creating an account unlocks full match results and cross-session persistence. You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use GradAisle. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@gradaisle.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per person

Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or other restrictions is prohibited.

Content you submit

"Your Content" includes your onboarding profile, uploaded resume, and any other information you provide to GradAisle. You retain ownership of Your Content.

License to us

By submitting Your Content, you grant GradAisle a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and use Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your individual data to train AI models or sell it to third parties.

Accuracy

You represent that information you provide — such as your GPA, academic background, and residency status — is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Inaccurate profile data will result in less relevant program matches.

You agree not to use GradAisle to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Upload content that contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or other users' accounts
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from GradAisle without written permission
• Use automated tools to generate fake profiles or manipulate matching results
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical safeguards
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Rate limits apply. GradAisle enforces rate limits on matching and AI-powered endpoints to ensure fair access for all users. Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

Our property

GradAisle, its logo, matching algorithm, program database, and all associated software and content are owned by or licensed to GradAisle. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Program data

University and program information in our database is compiled from publicly available sources, primarily university websites (.edu domains). This data is provided for informational purposes. Universities retain all rights to their institutional information.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about GradAisle, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradAisle disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

No admissions guarantee

Match results, admission likelihood estimates, and tier assignments generated by GradAisle are informational estimates only. They are not guarantees of admission and should not be relied upon as such. Actual admissions decisions are made solely by universities.

Program information accuracy

We strive to keep program data accurate and verified, but tuition rates, deadlines, STEM OPT eligibility, CPT availability, and other program details change frequently. Always confirm information directly with the relevant university before applying.

AI-generated content

Match explanations, tradeoff notes, and resume connections are generated by AI and may contain errors or omissions. They are meant to assist your research, not replace it.

Immigration information

Information about F-1 visas, CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT eligibility on GradAisle is general and informational only. It does not constitute legal or immigration advice. Consult a qualified immigration attorney or your institution's international student office for guidance specific to your situation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GradAisle and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, lost opportunities, or costs of substitute services — arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to GradAisle in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not fully apply to you.

By you

You may stop using GradAisle at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at admin@gradaisle.com or use the account deletion option in your dashboard settings.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your access to GradAisle at any time and for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Survival

Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (General) survive any termination of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with revised Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GradAisle regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

No waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
